Here is my lastest sock design which uses Sky High Fibers Superwash Merino Sock in Pastel Beach.

The lace pattern is charted and based on Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury.  The pinstripe patterning of the yarn works well with the parasol lace motifs which run up the sock.

Written as a toe up sock pattern with wide toe, it’s a fun way to learn this great stitch pattern.

Triple Cross Aran Pullover

12013 026

Here is my lastest sweater design.  Slimming with the long welt of twisted rib and simple cables that work into the triple cross cables just above the waist.  Twisted rib and cables add a lot of textural interest without looking bulky.

This kitchen set was designed for Creative Knitting, Spring 2013.
Domino knitting is easy, fun, and creative. This kitchen set uses 4 different yarns, with once used as the predominant stripe throughout the squares as well as for the loops.
Squares are easy to do. There is even a tutorial on how to work these squares. The nice thing is that they don’t require being sewn together; they are attached as you go.

The Twists and Diamonds Pullover is available in Small – 3X and is worked from the top down with sleeves worked separately and set in.

The fun with this design is the square neck that allows the cables to be set in such a way that no additional edging is needed.  Once the sweater in knit, simply sew the sleeve seam and set it in.  That’s it.

T-Sleeve Aran Cardigan

2013-01-03 13.26.542013-01-03 13.29.47

My newest design is an Aran cardigan which is worked from cuff to cuff with lapels and back collar worked with the yoke.

After the fun with the  sleeves and yoke portion are worked, it’s smooth sailing with stockinette stitch and bands that are worked with the body of the sweater.  Even the buttonholes in the yoke are worked with the sweater.

This minmal finish sweater needs only to have the sleeves sewn before starting the body from below the underarms as well as some blocking and weaving of yarn tails.

This a fun and cozy sweater .

Twisted Rib Curvy Aran Pullover

Feminine Aran has waist shaping without increases, decreases, or short rows, and flared cuffs and hem to shoulder twisted rib and double moss stitch to lengthen the body.

Patterns included the traditional diamond lattice, and V-cable with bobble, and rope cables.

Set-in sleeves and a modified boat neck (shallow square neck) complete the look and keep the finishing to a minimum.   Body and sleeves are worked in the round.

Pattern is available with sizes small to 3x in worsted weight yarn at

ravelry.com as well as patternfish.com and craftsy.com
